One of the most popular things I make is chocolate chip cookies.
I started putting them in Christmas baskets a few years ago and they were sooooooo popular.
It is time for me to share my ways and make all your cookie efforts chewy and gooey.
Remember before you begin that patience makes all tasty treats even better.
Let me know how they go!
Be well and be happy

Ooey Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups of all purpose Unbleached flour
1 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. Coarse ground Sea salt
1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
1 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
4 cups milk chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
In a big bowl sift together your flour, baking soda and salt.
Using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs one at a time. Mix on low until fully incorporated and add vanilla. Slowly add the flour mixture until incorporated. Turn off the mixer and continue stirring with a wooden spoon while adding the chocolate chips.
You can scoop out the dough with an ice team scoop to get cute round cookies or do what I do and roll them out with your hands. Messy but so yummy. Put each cookie ball at least 2 inches apart.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-13 minutes. Cookies will still be soft but will be slightly firm to the touch. Take out and let completely cool on a rack.
I usually only bake one batch at a time to make sure I’ve got my eye on them and such.
Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
As a note: the pictures above are beautiful and show a nice clean counter and cute little cookies.
Below is what my kitchen ACTUALLY looked like mid baking.
